Jenny Cove

I am a Systemic Family and Couples Psychotherapist working with couples who are experiencing a range of difficulties in their relationship.

As a Systemic Psychotherapist I work collaboratively with couples to explore the ways in which their communication and ways of behaving with one another can leave them feeling stuck, hopeless and sometimes deeply unhappy. My focus is on helping couples to move away from patterns of blame, anger, and resentment.  Instead, to support each member to value one another’s perspectives, establish more positive ways of communicating and find happier ways of being together.

I have worked with couples, parents, children, and families for over 20 years in different contexts, including twelve years in the NHS.  Alongside my clinical practice I also lead courses training Systemic Therapists at Exeter University.

Underpinning all my work is a strong belief in our capacity for love, the value of building on our strengths and the power of human connection to make changes even in the face of adversity.
