Katy Rees

Dr Katy Rees is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with an MSc in Neuroscience. She specialises in work with adults  who are experiencing distress in their lives (with difficulties including depression, generalised anxiety, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder, phobias, mood swings, obsessive compulsive disorder, substance misuse, relationship issues and low self-esteem).

Katy uses an integrative approach in her work. Dependant on client requirements there are a number of different psychological therapies that Katy uses. These include:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
  • Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT)
  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT),
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
  • Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Mindfulness-based treatments,
  • Psychodynamic and Attachment Psychotherapy,
  • Schema-focused therapy.

Katy is also a trained yoga teacher and has been involved in trauma aid work abroad.
