Katy Rees

Dr Katy Rees is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with an MSc in Neuroscience. She specialises in work with adults and adolescents who are experiencing distress in their lives (with difficulties including depression, generalised anxiety, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder, phobias, mood swings, obsessive compulsive disorder, substance misuse, relationship issues and low self-esteem).

 

Katy uses an integrative approach in her work. Dependant on client requirements there are a number of different psychological therapies that Katy uses. These include:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
  • Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT)
  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT),
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
  • Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Mindfulness-based treatments,
  • Psychodynamic and Attachment Psychotherapy,
  • Schema-focused therapy.
  •  

Katy is also a trained yoga teacher and has been involved in trauma aid work abroad.
