Hannah Hipwell

I am a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor with a Master of Arts from the University of Roehampton. This means that I have been trained in three different therapeutic models; Humanistic, CBT and the Psychodynamic approach, allowing me to tailor the way in which I work to best meet the needs of my client.

I offer face to face sessions, either at the Nautilus Rooms or I provide walk and talk sessions at a handful of rural locations in and around the Totnes/Ashburton area.

At the heart of my practice is the emphasis I place on the therapeutic relationship and our sessions together will be a collaborative process of self exploration where warmth, understanding and empathy provide the basis of my work.

The concept of approaching a stranger and exploring your innermost feelings and emotions can feel very alien but therapy can provide a safe and facilitated space to explore yourself without judgement. Whether you are dealing with relationship issues, the loss of a loved one, coping with anxiety, depression or stress, therapy can help you take a step back and explore your emotions in a safe and contained way.

My role as a therapist is to create a space and relationship in which you feel able to openly explore and reflect upon your emotions. By using my expertise this will enable us to find a path forwards which feels right for you as an individual.
