Dr Taru Kokkonen : Birchtree Psychology

Dr Taru Kokkonen is an experienced clinical psychologist specialising in work with children, young people and families. Taru has several years’ experience in the NHS, working in child and adolescent mental health and paediatric psychology services. She also has a special interest in psychological support to women and couples before or during pregnancy and in the postnatal period. Taru offers individual, couple and family sessions.

Taru is trained in a number of evidence-based psychological therapies. She uses an integrative approach, drawing on her training and experience to tailor her support to best meet the needs of each individual, couple or family.
