Audrey Cooper

I am an experienced, qualified counsellor trained in Gestalt therapy and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).  This combination of approaches, together with my facilitative style of working, enables me to work effectively with thoughts, beliefs, behaviours and emotions.  I am able to match what I do to my client's individual needs.

You can opt for short term focused work of 6 sessions, or you may wish to have a more open ended approach to work in depth on more long-standing issues.

I find it a privilege to do counselling work - supporting as each client's unique story unfolds in the counselling room, and seeing change and growth occur.  I have had experience working with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, bereavement, stress, and relationship issues.  I have worked in diverse settings including the University of Plymouth Student Counselling Service and a Sure Start Children's Centre.  I am a registered member of the BACP as well as a tutor for a local counselling college.
